The Summer 11-12 Flora collection is inspired by the works of Belle Epoque artist Alfonse Mucha and architect Antoni Gaudi. The name is owed to the designer's own Great Aunt Flora, a fashionista whose young years were contemporary with the Belle Epoque, whose fascinating collection of objets d'art and feminine but progressive sense of style have inspired Viviana Pannell's work up to this day. Crafted from beautiful silks and other natural fibres like organic linen and incorporating exquisite embroidery and beading, the feeling is diaphanous, jewel-like, sculptural, irrepressibly elegant with a bit of the bohemian in it as well.
